The metal of Venus.
Venus is associated with the Feminine, the Waters, the Creative Mother, passion, imagination. She defends the Moon against all monsters of darkness.
Copper represents the harmonic connection between the physical and celestial realities.
Used in industry as a super conductor - it is a metaphor to recieve, amplify and transmit thought, actions and feelings.
As a warm metal, it is known for bringing goodness.
Stabilizes and balances blood flow in the body.
The Alchemists experimented with transforming copper into gold, effectively creating lesser things into greater things - which is what the soul aspires to, and copper supports us in this quest.

- I am a sculptor working in copper and silver, and enjoy doing larger than life size work, as well as beautiful jewelry. The continent of Africa is rich in its abundant sources of gems, semi-precious stones and precious metals and inspires me to share this beauty, originaly buried away from sight, with women the world over. The metaphor for precious and semi-precious stones relate to the hidden treasures residing within each woman, no matter who she is or where she finds herself. Wearing these stones is likened to "mining" the wonderful attributes we have within, simply waiting to be expressed!
